Budding Scientist

In the car this morning on the way to school: "Mommy, why are there cracks in the road?" Which led to a discussion about how water freezes when it expands. He didn't quite get it, so we'll try an experiment with putting a cup of water in the freezer, marked or covered so it shows the expansion. Stay tuned for the findings!
